Dotwork Flower

Finally got round to drawing my Mum a dotwork flower, couldn't take the nagging anymore! Its not perfect, but i'm quite pleased with how its turned out.. I decided to use a thicker pen (0.3) to get a more prominent effect, and to make it stand out when i frame it for her. :)

I also finished my last exam today, and i move to London in a month, happppyyyy days! Oh and its my birthday next week... social life is looking good again! Now that i've finished university for a year you can expect lots more drawings!! So keep checking back :) And of course when i start my internship at Urban Outfitters i'll make sure to put up a blog post on it!

Dotwork Chandelier

This is another dotwork piece that i eventually want to get tattooed. Its quite fiddly and intricate, and like my other one, is inspired by Hannah Snowdon's work. The top drawing is slightly different to the bottom two; i thought i would draw one on a larger scale with more dotwork.

I went to an interview in London on wednesday for a buying internship at Kurt Geiger HQ and i got it!! Hooorraaah! So i will be moving to LDN in May for my placement year. I'm also going to start selling prints soon of my work, to try and help fund moving to the big city!

Dotwork Mannequin

This was my very first dotwork piece that i drew, primarily influenced by my favourite artist, Hannah Snowdon. Her work inspired me to start drawing in the dotwork style. This medium is quite time consuming, and requires a lot of patience and attention to detail, but i am pleased with the finished product. Keep checking back, as i will be posting up more of my dotwork designs soon!

Skull

This is one of my first Biro drawings, that i drew back in my 1st year of uni; as of last week it is my first piece of artwork that i have sold!
Art is only a hobby for me, being a full time student, but when i do put pen to paper, i am a bit of a perfectionist.. I particularly love the detail and visual effects of this piece, even though it took hours of planning and drafting!
